Responsibility
Every company must take responsibility for the sustainability of its own actions, whether it be social, ecological, or economic sustainability. At flaconi, we take all aspects of sustainability very seriously because our sustainability is important to us.
Ecological Responsibility
Developing new packaging materials, avoiding plastic, and ensuring that our products reach you in an eco-friendly, safe, and undamaged manner is a challenge. We have succeeded in designing our flaconi shipping box to be plastic-free and are members of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), committed to 100% recycled packaging. In our logistics center, we use 100% renewable energy, and we offset the environmental impact of our heating system to ‘zero emissions’. Additionally, smart heating and smart lighting in our headquarters reduce our CO2 emissions.
Social Responsibility
Diversity and variety make us better, open new perspectives, and allow everyone to discover and live their individuality. With openness, tolerance, and curiosity, we shape our interactions and our environment. We actively promote talent and diversity and pay attention to the physical and mental health and well-being of our colleagues.
As a company, we recognize our responsibility to make sustainable decisions at all levels and actively advocate for a diverse society. We are committed to enabling our customers to make sustainable purchasing choices that respect both nature and people.
This is just the beginning, and we will continuously strive to find innovative and sustainable solutions for our colleagues, partners, customers, and products. We acknowledge that we won’t get everything right immediately, but as flaconis, we are firmly committed to making our contribution. Great goals can only be achieved together.
The way we work
We want to offer everyone the necessary flexibility they need to balance work and personal life. To achieve this, we have developed three work models:
#Traveller
This model is a typical hybrid model that combines the flexibility of remote work with the quick coordination and team experience of office work. flaconi employees who choose this model primarily work remotely. However, they must come to the office eight days a month. How they distribute these days is generally up to each flaconi.
#Settler
The Settler model is for all flaconis who require a maximum amount of office time. Each flaconi who chooses this model must be in the office at least four days a week. One remote workday per week can be used at their discretion.
#Astronaut
The Astronaut model is our 100% remote model. This model is intended exclusively for flaconis who do not live in Berlin. Additionally, team leaders or higher are not eligible for this model. As we cultivate an in-person-first culture, there is a limited number of astronauts. Astronauts can choose their workplace freely, as long as it is within Germany.
All colleagues at our headquarters have the opportunity to split their working time between remote work and office presence. With flexible arrangements, our focus is on collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
Our modern office “Benjamin” also offers the right environment for every working mode. From focus and collaboration areas to phone booths, socializing areas (including a gaming area), to open working spaces, you can choose the environment that best suits your work needs.
