Last week, our logistics department was visited by 2 schoolgirls who came by for the 1st Girls Day!
After a short round of introductions, they learned interesting facts about flaconi and were able to ask questions about logistics and everyday working life.
We presented our training program and career opportunities in the warehouse and gave some tips on how to apply for a job. Afterwards, they had the opportunity to get to know our CHRO Alexandra Szarmach and her professional career as Managing Director.
After a little reinforcement, it was finally time to get out on the floor! Our teamleads gave the students an overview of our warehouse and supervised them as they picked and packed our customer orders. The anticipation was great and we did not disappoint them. The feedback – “It was very interesting and fun. Can we work here alongside school?” 😀
Our aim for this day was to demonstrate the exciting and varied profession in logistics with attractive career prospects for women too.
With 47.29% women in our warehouse, we are far ahead of the national average (20.7%) in the logistics sector and are pleased to introduce schoolgirls to the logistics profession on Girls‘ Day.
We are delighted with the positive feedback from the schoolgirls and are already looking forward to Girls and Boys Day 2025! 🎊 🎉
